About Us

Our community outreach start-up is dedicated to bridging the gap between local resources and underserved populations. By fostering partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers, we aim to create impactful programs that address key community needs such as Feeding our community, health, social services and providing access to essential resources. We are committed to inclusivity and collaboration, we strive to enhance community engagement and improve the quality of life for all residents. We also strive to create a space for those who want to help but have lost faith in big charitable machines where you hear more about scandal than service.
Elder Doris Walker
  • Elder Doris Walker is a native of Creedmoor, North Carolina. She graduated from Shaw Universit and is an active member of New Jeruselem Community Church of Durham, NC. Elder Walker's main journey is to serve our Lord and to give support to those who cannot support themselves, through United Guding Light Outreach.
United Guiding Light Outreach or United-GLO is a ministry outlet that feeds the hungry, provides clothing to about 6000 people a year with help from volunteers, other church groups and donations. This ministry also provides meals and clothings to community throughout the year.
Gina Moore
  • Gina Moore is a North Carolina native who graduated from orth Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Gina begain creating donation bags in her home to pass out at the monthly dinner service initiated by Elder Doris Walker.
  • Together, Elder Walker and Gina Moore created United Guiding Light Outreach to try and get more community support to amplify the help and assistance they provide through community support.
